Cropper Building Stratergy!
by admin on Oct.07, 2010, under Tips & Stratergy
If you want to succeed in travian games you will certainly have to stay ahead with the crop and wheat production of your village town or city. Okay, you have a 10 cropper village? How will you know its time for a second one and then a third one. You should not take these decisions when you start seeing negative consequences due to lack of it. Instead plan ahead and stay ahead in travian game.
You would also have to construct a building in a cropper. Now this decision should not be influenced by the crop production level for the village. You need to build:
- A Mill
- A Granary
- A Bakery
- A Main Building
- A Hero’s Mansion
- A Warehouse
- A Market
- A Trade Post
A Good advice would be to use Travian Bot to accomplish all this.
Now there is a condition to build trade posts, actually not “a” condition but two conditions.
1.) You need Level 10 Stable.
2.) You need blacksmith level 3.
Once you satisfy these conditions you can go ahead a build trade-post. Once you have built trade post you can demolish the blacksmith and the other building using level 10 main building.
Here are some of the buildings you do NOT want to build: brickwork, iron foundry, sawmill, level 20 barracks, & armory. As mentioned, you will have to build the blacksmith anyway, but take it down later.
I generally don’t station my troops in cropper and nor do I construct buildings related to army like barracks etc. But if you station your army there to feed it can be considered.

Travian Tip: Do Not Increase the number of troops before increasing agents to support them.
by admin on Sep.28, 2010, under Tips & Stratergy
It is a very common mistake new travian players do. They would build a large army, for personal gain or for their alliance. Whatever the reason is, increasing troops is a decision that requires a good beforehand observance of you current state, availability of resources and possible future attacks.
Let me give you an example, I was a part of this alliance; let’s call it “XYZ”. SO now XYZ was planning to attack another big alliance CVB, who had much bigger army then we had. So we all decided to increase our army in 4 days and attack that alliance. What was the result? We Won. But it was not so good; the post war crisis had got us. Almost 80% of our alliance members did not have enough resources to support their increasing troops. I too was one of them. I was 500 crops short per hour. So I had to kill half of my troops. This weakened out troops.

Travian – Why Using Town Halls in Travian Will Set You Apart
by admin on Sep.28, 2010, under Tips & Stratergy
In order to found additional villages in Travian one must have the required number of culture points. In your Town Hall you can host parties to build more culture points (CP) faster. This tip is integral to getting ahead of other players.
If you are lazy like me you can use travian bot to do all the construction work for you.

Once your fields are at levels 6-7 you should build a Town Hall. You will need to bring an Academy to level 10 as well as your main building. This is an excellent thing to begin doing in villages that already have a level 10 Residence and sufficient storage resources coming in from raids. Hosting parties will seem like it’s a drain on resources at first. Even the big parties that are hosted in a level 10 Town Hall are expensive. But think about it, more CP = more villages = more fields = more resources = more troops (and parties).
This is the formula that you must keep in mind. In the first 3 months of a regular round it is arguably more important to host parties than build troops. This means if you have the choice to host a big party, or build 350 troops, first host the party and then focus your remaining resources on troops. On the speed server I usually settle a new village every 3 days, and I’m not even hosting as many parties as I should be. On the regular server that would translate into a new village every 9 days. This strategy accounts for incredible internal strength, as long as you build troops later on as well. Town Halls are expensive only because they are extremely valuable.
Sending Travian Catapult Raids – What Are They?
by admin on Sep.28, 2010, under Tips & Stratergy
What’s better than sending out a raid on your favorite farm? How about sending two? But what if you don’t want them to land at the same time? Then you take advantage of the catapult raid strategy. Let’s say you have 100 mace men, 1 catapult, 1 ram and a farm that 33% of the resources that 100 mace men can hold.

Instead of sending your 100 troops to farm all in one shot, send them in batches of 33. Now, most players at this point would get up at 1:00AM to send the back out again. They would also get up at 4:00am to fire those raiding mace men out a third time so they can get as many resources as possible for the night.
I have a better idea. It will be much easier to do all this with my free travian bot.
Since a catapult moves very slowly and a ram is just a little faster than a catapult, you could in fact send all your troops out in one shot by combining them with the catapults and rams. You could send all three attacks out at once but they would not land all at the same time. This way you can go to bed and be sure that you are the one who is getting all the resources from this farm.
Sending out more than one wave also shows your farm that you’re a smart, serious player who knows how to take advantage of all the resources at his/her disposal. You definitely want to be communicating this message to the other players around you who might be thinking of getting some revenge and attacking you. Take advantage of all the troops in your village and leverage slow troops so you can get more sleep at night and be fresh the next morning to play more Travian.
3 Building Tricks That 90% of Travian Players Never Think Of
by admin on Sep.28, 2010, under Tips & Stratergy
Here are three tricks that most players overlook. By following them however you will become much more powerful than your entourage.
The first has to do with your main building. Most beginning players never bring it past level 5 or 6, since that is the required minimum for building a residence. But don’t forget that a main building reduces the most indispensable resource in Travian, time.
A player can have all the resources they need at their disposal. But if it takes hours to complete a field that could be done in half the time with a level 20 main building, then the player is not making good use of time.
Culture points are collected from both parties that are hosted in the town hall, and buildings giving a small amount every day. The embassy for example generates 153 culture points each day when it is at level 20. A level 20 main main building gives another 77. The main building has other uses other than culture points, but the high contribution toward expansion a main building has should be a good enough reason to bring it to 20 along with the storage and granary of a newly found village in its early stages.
The armory, blacksmith and academy contribute to culture points too. However once these buildings are brought to 20 and have all the researches done in them, they outlast their usefulness. While an academy contributes to culture points, the blacksmith and armoury should be destroyed as they inflate the population of a village making it an attractive chiefing target.
These three types of buildings are often forgotten by experienced players who scratch their heads wondering why they lost their 15 village empire within 1 week.

Arghhh! Negative Crop!!!
by admin on Sep.28, 2010, under Tips & Stratergy
I am lately having tons of problems due to the high amount of negative crop on one of the many servers I play on. My alliance wanted me to have bigger troops so we can win one battle and yes we won. But the problems didn’t end here but started here.
My village produces around 14,000 crops per hour and there are 9 crop areas in my villages. I also have support villages, not many but only 3. The put together only create 9,000 crops per hour. So this way i need 6000 more crops to support my troops. The only way to go through this is to kill my troops . Or I would have to raid villages and get 5000 crops per hour. There seems no way out of the situation, looks like I would have to kill my troops…

Moral Of the Story: Don’t make troops in large number if you do not have enough resources to support them
